Hello,
I have been making these ball boxes recently. They make great gifts. The boxes take approx. 1 hour total to make for both halves. I use any type of wood - mainly scraps laying around. I never throw anything away. (I'm a pack rat) I make with inlayed text, raised text, or engraved text. Depends on what my customers would like. I haven't done too much inlay though, kind of difficult getting a perfect fit. Someday I will purchase Vcarve Pro. I use Cut2D to most of the codes, then turn to another program to round the tops from a stl file. I use a 1/4 ball nose for the round and the pocket at bottom for the ball contour, the rest is cut with a 1/4 end mill.
Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
